Crush help needed really bad!

NEED HELP! O.O
See, I like this dude. We've known each other for eight years and we have a pretty close bond, I mean...I spent lots of time with him when I was little cuz our families went to the same meeting, but then the meeting stopped happening so I didn't see him anymore. A few years ago, I wrote in my diary that i'll never see him again and that I should just get over him.
But then, we find out that on the 25th he's gonna come to the building across the street from us and do a performance with two of his buddies and we're going! (it's in 2 days!)
So, my problem is this:
I'm nervous. So nervous. Like, very nervous. I have started to doubt our friendship...saying stuff like "What if it's awkward?' 'What if I say something stupid?' stuff like that. But I'm always like, "COME ON! We've known each other for EIGHT YEARS!" but still I can't shake off that feeling. Help? but im not allowed to date, and pls don't give me any age gap Sh*t.

Oh yeah, he also moved to a city far far away to do his university studies. boo.
