What is going on In Minecraft!?

My friend Jake was playing Minecraft when I came over, I join but I could only move forward and I could not see my hotbar.My skin was the SteveTennis Player, so I wanted to change it.It showed my FavoriteSkins, all of them were the CreeperMan I was shocked and I found the PartyFiget skin the I allwas ware.My friend killed me, nothing I sighed out, nothing, we tryed 2 diffrent controllers, nothing so I got off.Why did this happen!?Has this happen to you?
