He may pick up o subtle things and might be a closer than usual friend, though stereotypically, they have tp come forward or you have to question them about it to get an exact answer. From what you said, he at least likes you on a close friend basis, or acts like it. He might like you in the more lovey dovey way, though as I said, either he or you have to confront that when it comes.
