why do people cut

plz help me. i need to know. because i do, and i can't seem to find the answer to it.

2) I need to punish myself
3)I need to relive stress
4) I need to relive pain
5) I need to suffer

Sometimes people can't handle emotional pain, or they battle depression, bipolarity, etc. So they use physical pain to relieve themselves.

some people do it because they feel that they do not mean anything to anybody or if your life is going rough most people do it because if emotional matters.

It's mostly because they are bullied and or depressed and the pain makes it feel better? I'm sorry I have no experience with myself cutting but I do know that you shouldn't do it
