OMG!!!!!!!! I had the EXACT same problem on Friday, I had my period, and had to run 800 m!!!! I of course, did not want anyone to know either, but it worked out fine in the end. Your gonna have to run, but pads worked for me. Wear two pairs of underwear, preferably quite tight, and 2 pads. One as usual, and one on the other side of the first pair of underwear. You don't have to wear a tampon. Oh, and by the way, keep as still as possible for the rest of the day. Good luck!

Hi! I learnt about tampons the hard way. When you first wear them, don't get all tensed up (Thats what i did lol) or it really hurts (thats the way i learnt that)! Just relax, put it in. Practise a bit as well

Tampons used to be my worst enemy. I thought they were disgusting and nasty, but now I'm on vacation, and guess what time of the month it is.. I use them everyday now. They really are not as bad as everyone makes them seem. As long as you change them every four hours, and make sure you have extra, you'll be fine. I suggest using the Kotex U brand(the ones that click and are neon colored) they're the most comfortable! Anyway, hope this helps.
