It can be used as a racist flag, especially when white people fuckiing wave it in front of your yard, but overall, I don't think so.

It wasn't used as a symbolism for racism until afterwards.
The flag that we think is the "confederate flag" is the battle flag.

Also, the whole civil war want because of racism. It was the south wanting to segregate- even if slavery took a role, it wasn't the main reason.

No, it was apart of our history. It doesn't mean slavery, because without that war nothing would really be the same. There still might be slaves around without it. Why bother hiding it?

Yea! I doubt there would still be slavery today in America, but the only reason it was abolished at that time was so the freed slaves would fight for the union. It might have been abolished much later is the south never tried to receed.

The confederate flag didn't even stand for slavery. It's the people who use it today that most of the time connect it with racism. The problem is not the flag it's the people of today.

The civil war was not about slavery. People always think it was but it wasnt. Slavery was an importantly factor, but what it was about in genral was the fact that they south wanted to receed from the U.S. just like the colonies receeded from great Britain. The flag is similar to the "don't tread on me" fla g of the American revolution it is just viewed as a positive See More▼
