Robin Williams Memorial Page

Robin Williams was my idol and just recently I found out he passed away. This was quite difficult for me to find out as he was my inspiration on many levels. I am dedicating this page to him so we can celebrate his life and not mourn his death as he would want us to.

He was a wonderful person. He was a comedy genius and a wonderful actor. From playing a divorcee pretending to be a woman to be closer to his kids (Mrs. Doubtfire), to a genie granting wishes to a peasant (Jasmine), a scientist inventing a bouncing goo (Flubber), a person stuck in a board game (Jumanji), Robin Williams was an inspiration to everyone, from every generation. The irony of a comedian dying of depression (A suicide) is so sad. But, laughter is very close to tears. See More▼

I memorized this for an acting tryout and just for fun:

We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. Medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits, and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.
