i love labyrinth fanfiction because it’s either quirky and cheesy and probably written by the audience that the film is actually directed to or it’s full on violent celtic fae lore and jareth gets shot with an iron bullet and there’s graphic description of that happening and then sarah has sex for some reason and hoggle always dies and there’s a ton of random OCs that make no sense

apparently there are people who hate bowie because “he was a junkie”
i understand disliking his music or disliking him because you’re uneducated on the whole lori bullshit but “because he was a junkie” ????? seriously???????
do people not realize that, first of all, drugs were unfortunately extremely normalized in the 1970s rock scene?? whether you want to believe it, every 70s rockstar you love has probably some cocaine. not to mention that addiction literally isn’t a choice. See More▼ bowie’s addiction was terrifying. he overdosed at least one time that we know of. he experienced episodes of psychosis (which is even worse considering the fact that he already had at least one mental condition that impacted him a LOT—he had adhd and is believed to have possibly been schizophrenic as well) and it also made him extremely sick physically. he was convinced that he could only eat milk and peppers. and because of this extreme diet, he was severely malnourished. he weighed 95 pounds and stood at 5’10. had this diet gone on much longer than it did he would have starved to death.
he didn’t just decide he was going to be a drug addict. his addiction also affected him more than most other people. there’s literally no explanation for hating him for being an addict.

i’m getting sort of emotional about band tbh. my marching band is traveling next year to florida. we’re going to march in the 50th anniversary parade at disney. first of all i have a friend who lives in florida. we’ve been friends since 7th grade, she was actually in band with me in middle school. and she’s always wanted to see my new marching band perform. and now she finally gets the chance because we’ll be in her state.
also, it’s crazy because i actually have performed at See More▼ disney before. i played a christmas concert in 2016. my first real year of band. (since 5th/6th grade band was literally just learning how to play)
and now, i’m going back
five years later. i was in 7th grade then and now i am a senior. i played at disney my first real year of band and i’m playing there again for my last.

bowie consistently talks about his diverse interests, struggles with speaking (if you watch any of his interviews he seems to have a stutter?? sort of??? he stumbles over his words and says “um” excessively), talks about how he can’t seem to stay organized, no matter how hard he tries, and has said repeatedly that he has a super short attention span, and people still think he’s neurotypical.

does anyone else genuinely hate children.
everyone always tells me “oh you’ll change when you’re older” “you’ll want them eventually” no. i won’t. i hate kids and everything about them.
