fun fact: my bettas have all fit their names perfectly!!!
bowie was an incredibly picky eater. he’s the only betta out of the three i had who wouldn’t eat pellets. he ate exclusively flakes. he was named after david bowie who went through a period where he only ate two foods.
jerome was named after thomas jerome newton, a fictional alien disguised as a human, who was extremely sickly and frail. my fish, jerome, got sick and had to be put down after a month. (he also had white See More▼ scales, newton in the book had white hair)
my current betta, elton is an absolute diva. he’s currently throwing a full on tantrum because i didn’t feed him. he gets two pellets a day. that’s it. and i’ve started fasting him weekly as of today, and he’s pissed.he was draped across his moss ball dramatically with his fins all flared, and then he swam over and looked straight at me when i went to see him
