And I looked up at her, beautiful, gorgeous, inside and out. And it wasn't the beauty that mattered, because, in the eyes of society, she was everything but beautiful. I looked at her, and pressed my hand to hers, pushing my other one, through her long, silky black hair. She was breathtaking. And at that moment, she did. She stole my breathe. The heat of her mouth on ine, was a sensation I would never forget. But what I did, I would regret. I pushed away, and let out a shrill cry of fear. And memories flooded into my sight. Sending me into a panick. I didn't see her. I saw the man who had stolen my first, some years ago. I saw his crinkly eyes, full of horrible intent. I smelt the way cigarettes had rotte his breathe. I felt thte dizzying sensation of being high.. Because he had breathed the smoke into my face. And it was not her. But she pushed through the cloud of the past, pulling me into the fresh air of the present.
"I'm sorry,," Was the first thing she said, her hands gripping gently onto mine. She held me close, the curves of our bodies folding into one. "I'm sorry, I knew,,, yet I did it. I'm sorry I hurt you."
"I love you..." I replied. She didn't send me the memories, he did. She pulled me out of them. SHe was here. Now. The present. She was the future. And not him. That was what mattered.
