No helmet actually.
It was a wire base...literally just a single wire. then handcrafted the wire mesh head and muzzle. My sister did the masking of the head to make the skeleton, then felted the inside. Then the outside. Then I made and attached the ears, made and attached the jaw and the teeth.

That's really amazing~ You two make an awesome team for cosplay costumes! ^-^ And very creative and cheap to use wire :O I'll have to tell my friend that~ She wants to make her first furry head soon. Thank you! ^-^

No problem. the head itself is actually still soft, its not hard. only around the metal base. We might add sponge inside cause it moves a bit still. other than that, it turned out well for our first fur head thing. XD

Thanks took a bit to complete it. We decided the original was better than going nightmare version..plus i've already made the sweater for it.

You're welcome~ I like the originals better ^^ They have their sort of innocence in them and it makes them that much more creepy~ Did you use a helmet for the base or something else? Sorry :/ I just left con and I love learning the creative ways to make costumes! ^-^
