I finished watching the first episode of Roots and I, just oh my G O D. It was so moving. I was becoming so emotional, and my dad was just sitting there. I didn't like watching it, but I need to know how I got here and the struggle my people went through. Kunta Kinte is my inspiration. He was so brave and he didn't let his masters call him Toby. He stuck to his real name, even while being beaten. It makes me so proud to be African-American, because the things that my ancestors See More went through were fought for, not given to them by hand.
