My dog keeps opening the door with his mouth how do I make him stop
EHe opens the door whenever he pleases we have tried string so when he opens it it closes and only opens a tiny bit. Our door doesn't have a lock so it open with just a slide so now we have to close the glass Door all the time. PLease help all ideas welcome

ok, you have to have a can of something that your dog doesnt like the taste of, like pepper spray. Get it in a can and even thought it might stink,spray the taste( or smear it) on your door. once he knows that there is that foul taste on the door, he will stop. CAUTION: HE MIGHT GO FOR OTHER DOORS TOO! SMEAR IT ON EVERY DOOR UNTIL YOUR DOG KNOWS NOT TO OPEN THE DOORS!! hope that i helped, if you need more help,i will be on, THANKZZ!

If he feels he can walk into a room without asking he's got it WRONG very WRONG.
When he opens the door immediately remove his mouth and say MINE. He will soon get the picture that the room isn't his it is yours and he not to go in there

Put vinigar or some thing nasty tasting to get him to stop..... But nothing harmful.

wipe vaseline on the part of the door that he bites to open. It won't taste well and might keep him from it. Hope i helped
I wouldn't stick my nose in a gel thing, get that in the nostrils? YUCK!! Anyways, just an idea ;)

vasaline doesnt taste like anything to dogs, so only the actual gel will bother him. he will get used to it and still open the door.

He is very timid and whenever you lift your hand he flinches and gets scared so we can't smack him very often but thanks anyway
