it makes me so upset to see that after a trans person dies, they'll be referred to as their deadname and people will just not use their correct pronouns.
a trans male will die and people will just say things like "it's a shame, she was a really nice girl :("
Brandon Teena has the words 'daughter, sister, & friend' on his grave when he died because he was a trans male
Lili is still called Einar by many and they'll say her name like " 'Lili' " as if she didn't get her name legally changed. i've seen it where Einar and Lili are referred to as separate people. like, "Einar, Gerda, and Lili :)" and i hate that because. she was always Lili, she was just born looking like Einar.
it's just a horrible thought. you try so hard to be this person that you know you are only to have it mean nothing when it's all over. all the crying and breakdowns you've had. all the judgement you've faced from both others and yourself. only for nothing to change and you're still remembered as the lie you were before.
when i die, i want to die as devin. THAT is who i am. i will not have this confusion, self-loathing, and awful judgement from ex-close friends be faced for nothing. i can't have that.
