So my mom asks me, "What do you want for Christmas?"
I reply, "I want nothing but my friends. Not to make-it-through-the-year friends, my own flesh-and-blood friends."
And she responds with, "And your birthday?"
I say, "My friends that actually treat me right."
Then after a few minutes, she says, "What about your friends at your new school?"
I kind of tensed up and walked away.
Thanks mom. It was either "Yes, you can see them," or "No, you can't."
