So today was the hijab day and I really like what the hijab stands for. I'm considering wearing a hijab everyday :/
I am aware. The hijab is more of a religious symbol, but it is accepted in different cultures and situtations not as a religion thing. I made a post about different types of Islamic head coverings, and you could check that out before you do anything. I would suggest doing some research before commiting.

I'm thinking about it because it is a symbol of modesty and I think it empowers women- not traps them like many Americans think. I'm not doing it as a fashion thing- because that's EXTREMELY disrespectful.

actually @MobileDorkestra if she wears it to show appreciation for the culture or something of that nature, it is okay. it is only appropriation if you do it to look nice or you don't show respect for the culture.
