Stray Ally

House Pet

Hi. My name is Dusk. I am a stray cat. As you know, I live in an ally. By myself. But this is the story of an adventure I took.


     I was just chilling, gnawing on some rat bones, when this white kitten with neat fur, went into my ally. She had a collar on and it had a thing that hung from it that jingled when she moved. "What are you doing here pretty?" I asked. I-I'm Snowflake." she said shaking. "Great, now get out!" I hissed. "Wait, I need to tell you something." Snowflake wimpered. "Oh what, one of your kitten stories that your mother told you?" I hissed again. "Well, a no, but, I need help. My humans abandoned me, and, I don't know how to find food, or how to find shelter, or any of that! Can you help me?" she begged. "No!" I said. "Now get out! find another human to take care of you!" I hissed again. "I don't want any human but my own!" Snowflake started to cry. I admit it. I felt guilty. This guilt was driving me crazy! So I finally said, "All right! I'll help you! But only until you know how to survive on your own." I spat out. "Thank you!" Snowflake replied. "Just do what I do." I say. I don't want to look like a father to her. I start digging threw trash. "Jackpot!" I meow. I take out a half eaten steak. Snowflake comes over like I'm gonna share. I drag it away. "Find your own." I growl. Snowflake has trouble climbing up the trash bin, but she gets there. She soon falls in. When she climbs out shes holding pizza crust. "Is this ok to eat?" Snowflake asked. "Yes." I grumbled." I look at her pelt. It's ruffled. Before I knew it, I was licking he pelt to get the dirt off. I quickly stopped. "Uh, you need to clean yourself." I say. I remind myself she's a house cat and doesn't deserve my attantion. But I knew I had to send her away. Soon.
