Meeting

Meeting

When we walked into

the small town everyone turned to look at us. I felt like we were being paraded through the town and it didn't help that my hood had come down. My hair was pinned up because of Iris but it was still its bright red. In the center was a large hut similar to the others but bigger. As we approached a man came out he was a faerie and by the looks of it a fire faerie. He had red hair, red eyes, and as I looked his way a large hawk landed on his shoulder. He looked terrifying but I didn't show it like Gwenn. Iris was just pissed off and the sky reflected her anger as storm clouds moved in. Cardrew stepped forward to be our spokesperson while Aidan moved forward to speak into his ear. I moved to calm Iris but she shook me off as the wind picked up blowing our hair back.
"Let the redhead come forward," the man said his voice ringing out across the clearing. When I didn't move warriors came forward and hauled me forward. "What is your name girl," he asked and when I didn't respond he grew angrier. The clouds were coming faster and Iris was radiating anger. "Answer me," he shouted and when I remained quiet he rushed forward with horrid look. He paused in front of me then slapped me. That did it for me I remembered all the battle lessons Cardrew taught me. I turned and kicked him pulling my sword out in one fluid motion.
"You may stay," he decreed turning away with a smirk on his face. Aidan showed us to a hut with enough room for everyone. He put our saddle bags down and turned to me.
" Would you like to come with me I would like to show you around," he explained. I turned to Cardrew and he nodded his permission so I gathered my weapons. We left down the road down toward the horses and I didn't say anything.
"I am sorry about Armstrong," he apologized," he is crude but he protects us from the king." I perked up at this and climbed up on to Allena. We left down a small trail mostly hidden by trees.
