Chapter 5

Everything has happened so fast. I'm already walking through the woods, memories pulling me down.
"Uki?" Mellissa asks.
"Yes?"
"You know my grandma?"
"The one screaming and crying?"
"Yes, she asked, if that you could look after me, since you're seventeen and I'm only fifteen, not as in loveydovey, as in brother sister protection,"
"Umm sure," I zone out and walk behind Uki and Mellissa. In my opinion, no one should go after the power stone so that the criminal who took it would get all confused and come back, then we ambush them and get the crystal back, simple.
"Arabelle?" Uki asks, catching me by surprise. "I don't think we've really talked before, I'm Uki Marygold, I wield a bow and arrow and-"
"I don't need an autobiography on your life," I interrupt. Uki is taken by surprise at my rude remark.
"Umm, okay... sorry,"
"Arabelle, c'mon, we're stuck together for possibly a long time, please just, be nice," Mellissa tells me.
"Whatever," I mumble.
