4 years later, at my bus stop a kid tackled me and pinned me to the ground so I kicked his gut as hard as I could then a hand came up from behind me grabbed my hair and yanked I could feel some hair come out and soon I was enraged grabbed my attackers hand threw him over me and idiotically shifted into a wox ( wolf fox hybrid ) they both turned to each other and nodded one of them I think was the oldest turned to me and said,“ Hello Ruby, I’m Toby and this is Jeff, we were sent to retrieve you, we can explain everything later but we must go quickly, please come.”
I nodded a yes and shifted back to a human and when I finished shifting Jeff whistled and a black limo appeared out of thin air,
“Wow,”
“ Haha, wow, you still haven’t gotten in yet.”
“ It’s better on the inside?!” I said with disbelief Toby nodded and smiled for a quick second I blushed and he saw and smiled again. When I got in the car it was like walking into a a candy store as a child, literally, in compartments in the doors and back window was candy’s galore Hershey kisses, Reese’s Pieces, chocolate bars and my favorite, M&M’S, and more, since I was hungry and their was candy I shoved my mouth full with Hershey kisses,Toby and Jeff just stared at me with shock,
“Jeez, I never knew that people who barely talked could have a big mouth.”
I scolded Jeff but was internally laughing. After a few hours we finally got to the edge of a thick forest, Jeff and Toby hopped out of the car and I did the same,
“Where are we? Why are we in front of the middle of nowhere?”
“Jeez you talk a lot, it’s where all of us live away from you mere mortals can see.” Toby came over to stand next to me his hand brushing mine I started to blush and looked out of the corner of my eye and saw him blush, he looked at me smiled that dreamy smile of his and walked off, I let go of my breath not knowing that I was holding it then everything went black.
“Give her some roses it helps with the beauty.”
“No she needs to have the latest trends for when she wakes up.”
“Actually she needs hugs and dandelions”
“Hush,! you impisols all she needs is a little rest now move so Toby can see her.” I heard light foot steps coming towards me so I opened my eyes and I saw Toby starting to sit when he saw me he looked so happy then the next thing I knew he was leaned over me kissing me and I kissed him back. He jumped back shocked and blushing and I could feel my cheeks burning as well and I smiled and said,
“What was that for? Not trying to sound offended or anything but, huh?”
“W-well when you passed out you said a bunch of stuff manly facts on us creepypastas and j-just that you hate school but love me(blush) a-anyway-” I tried to get up and stand but I fell down feeling like I just got hit by a freight train and I grunted in agony
“Ugh, what’s wrong with me I heard the slender brothers talking what happened?”
“Well theirs a side affect to the force field it hurts people, in your case it hurt your ribs but if we put bandages on them you should be able to walk.” I looked at the table beside my bed and saw bandages I looked at Toby and he shot out of the room like a bullet I sat up grabbed the bandage and wrapped my ribs not tightly but just tight enough. Thankfully I could stand but I couldn’t walk so I looked around the room and saw a few long cylinder pieces of wood and a pool noodle so I went to work i hopped over to the wood then the pool noodles i put the pool noodle under my arm and held on to the wood poles I was able to walk better than before I went to the door opened it and saw Toby standing their,
“Were you standing their waiting for me to come out?”
“Ummm, well maybe, no, yes, sorta, kinda heh, sorry.”
“Eh, it’s fine so now what do we do?”
“We need to go to the living room so we can introduce ourselves.”
“Hahahaha, you think you guys need to introduce yourselves to me? I already know everything about you guys but obviously it’s a custom so I’ll go.”
We went down two long corridors then I stopped and looked at Toby,
“Won’t the other guys try to kill me though?”
“Not when I’m here with you they won’t.”
He kissed my cheek and grabbed my hand I smiled and chuckled to myself. When we walked into the living it was dark then I felt a hand wrap around my waist I had no clue what was going on so I shifted to a wolf, and saw that the hand was of offenderman I jumped on him and clamped my mouth over his hand and bit down as hard as my doggy jaw would let then I heard something in his hand pop and saw how much blood he was loosing so I let go.
“What the hell was that for, jeez you just popped my vain uggghhh.”
“That’s what you get for grabbing my waist you jerk.” I growled as I shifted back, the lights turned on and I saw that he lost a lot more blood than I thought one of the downsides of being a anishifter is that you have to drink blood in order to not get sick and die it sounds gross and was the first time I tried it but I didn’t want to die so I shifted into a fox and started liking up the blood and I felt everyone’s eyes on me,
“What!, I’m drinking the blood so I don’t die jeez and it’s not like you guys don’t get sprayed with it either way so don’t judge.”
“Ok well I’m guessing you’re Ruby I’m-“
“ I already know who you are, you’re Ben Drowned I hear about you all the time cause my friends say we’re siblings.”
“Well I am.” I looked at him shocked.
“Imma go to the room Toby I’ll see ya.”
“What about dinner you need to eat so you get better quicker.”
“This is what I love about you Toby, you put people before you or at least the ones you’re not killing, I’ll be fine.”
“But what if offenderman gets in their and does something to you.”
“Fine you can bring me dinner and wait till I fall asleep ok now I’ll go. And if he does ill do more than pop his vein,” I headed back to my room and then fell a hand on my shoulder so i stopped dead in my tracks and said,
“Excuse me but you have me mistaken for my other brother I’m slender man.” At that i jumped far away and morphed into a fox.
“I don’t mean you any harm Ruby i just wanted to apologize for my brother’s behavior I’m actually glad you did what you did he probably learned his lesson.”
“I doubt that cause if something becomes a habit you have to stop it right away or else you wont be able to stop yourself from doing it.” I turned around gave him a little bow and walked all the way to my room. When i got their I saw two little girls standing their with big brilliant smiles looking at me one of them looked at the other and nodded at me and then the chair i was so confused i walked over to the chair and sat down the little girl with light brown hair came over and started to brush my hair when i slapped her hand out of surprise, she started crying and i was sorry so i turned her to be in front of me and beckoned the girl with dark brown hair over, I looked both of them up and down closely and thought to my self how cute they’d be in one of my summer dresses i out grew but decided to keep,
“Hello, I’m sorry i slapped your hand i was just surprised, next time please tell me what you’re gonna do so i know its not bad, and I don’t believe i told you my name I’m Ruby you must be Sally and Lazari? Am i right?” I looked at Sally and she nodded i took her hurt hand in mine and gently kissed it,
“My mother always told me that someone kissing where you’re hurt makes it feel better and heal faster.” Sally smiled and looked at me with a little shine in her eyes
“Sometimes i wish i had parents here but the couples here who i want to be my pretend parents are either to busy or just don’t have the patience like Jeff and Nina they are to scary and busy but when i heard that you and Toby kissed i was happy cause maybe if Toby was ok with it you guys could be my “parents” and Lazari could be my sister.” She looked at Lazari and they both smiled at each other and I didn’t want to ruin their happiness so,
“Ill see what Toby thinks when he comes to give me my dinner, now what were you guys doing in here.”
“We were told to bring all your stuff from your house and tell your parents that you got caught and are staying at our house to be protected until it all blows over, we were also told to help you get ready for bed and give you these crutches.”
“When you say help what specifically do you mean?”
“We mean help you dress and do your hair.” I looked at them for a minute tell my parents i got caught they must be so disappointed but at least now I don’t have to find my way home and i can give them the dresses that i cant fit in i eased my self back into the chair not knowing i was up and tense and looked at them and nodded. They got started so quickly its like we were in slo-mo until we were put to time-lapse Sally brushed my hair while Lazari got my pjs out and put my clothes into a ginormous closet when Sally was done with my hair she got the pjs and helped me put them on when i was dressed Lazari came over with a black crutch and a orange one,
“When your in battle and shift into a fox or wolf these will automatically turn your teeth as hard as gold, which if you didn’t know is really hard.” I thanked them for their help and carefully hopped onto the bed trying not to hurt my ribs. I sat their for a minute or two then i heard a knock on the door i was too tired to get up so i sat their and said,
“Who is it.”
“Pizza, delivery.” It sounded like Toby but i knew that things are very deceiving so i got the crutches Lazari gave me and got up off the bed at the ready,
“Come in.” When the door opened it was like time stopped i shifted into a wolf and the crutches became metal teeth in my mouth then next thing i knew i had a hand gripped tightly in my mouth and someone screaming in pain when i looked to see who was screaming i saw it was Ben and not offenderman i let go of his hand and morphed back into a person i dropped on my knees gently holding his hand crying
“I’m so so so so so so so sorry Ben i thought you were Offenderman *sniff* if you want i can heal it but it might hurt *sniff*”
“It’s ok you didn’t mean to *wince* what do you mean you can heal it?” He looked at me sideways then looked me dead in the eyes
“I have this person inside of me she’s like a demon but more of a fallen angel than a demon she can help heal that if you want but it might hurt a little.”
“How come she cant help you.”
“She can just she said it would make me a demon half anishifter which together is powerful but also dangerous. So since I don’t want to take that risk I’m healing like a person. Of course theirs nothing for you to worry about if you wanted to be healed.”
“Ok ill let her heal me, does she have a name?”
“Yes I named her Shadow because angels are light and demons are dark put both together and you get shadows.”
“Oh well that makes sense so can you ask her to heal me.”
“Just cause she is in me doesn’t mean she cant hear you hold on.” After a few seconds I could see outside of my body from the inside
“Why hello Ben you must be Ruby’s long lost brother oui?”
“Umm yes I believe so, anyway can you heal my hand please?”
“Well of course but it may hurt just so you know.”
“Ok i think i can handle it.” She grabbed his hand tightly and said
“des os cassés aux os fixes.” When I saw what was going on their were a bunch of shadows swirling around his hand then i heard a voice echo through my room (shadow lives in a room when in Ruby) I’m done out here ruby can i meet Toby please,I’d really like to see whom you’re dating now that you’ve gotten over Eyeless Jack, oh wait he is in here listening to this conversation
Yup sooooo Ruby i hear you have a crush on me? Well let me tell you something i like you to but you are with Toby so you can’t have me oh well
What if I broke up with Toby telling him that Clockwork threatened me and him and knowing Toby he’ll fall for it and soon fall for her
Why not, give it a try.
Ok then would we be able to be together?
Yes then we could be together
Then Shadow said it was time for me to come out unless I wanted to go crazy so when I got out I heard a knock on the door and I opened it and when I saw who was standing their I grabbed their arm and twisted behind their back and kicked them to the ground
