My name is Angel Anistel. I am seventeen with my twin sister, Camilia. Camilia and I are very close. We spend a lot of time together. I live with my mom, sister, little sister Maya, and baby brother Chris. Maya is eight and Chris is twenty three months old. Anyway this whole thing started nine months ago.
Nine Months Ago
Camilia and I were on summer vacation. Maya was having her birthday tonight. Camilia and I volunteered to help out since our dad died. Mom never told us how he died but when we try to bring it up she changes the subject. I was super glad about her turning eight. Camilia and I were setting up the part decorations. "Angel can you hand me the stapler. I need to staple these banners." I did so as we looked down and saw out chocolate lab, Sparky. I patted him on the head as his big tail wagged. I never thought that with the happy moment floating that I would lose him later. Camilia came down the ladder and patted him also. "Mom texted me sis, she said for us to go and get some more balloons." Camilia drove us in her gray mustang. When we got home. I opened the door as I one light shone from the house. "Mom are you home?" No one answered. I looked walked in the kitchen and saw a big dark puddle. Had Maya spill something before? I walked towards the fridge. I looked down and screamed at the sight. Sparky laid paws up, black eyes wide open, and a large ice skate shoved in his neck. Camilia walked in as we both stared down at him. I felt his soft fur with the tips of my fingers. "Eww," Camilia said stepping away from him. Tears escaped from my eyes and fell on my cheeks. I didn't wipe them away. I let them fall on his body. "I'm going to call mom," Camilia said walking out of the house. I finally got off the floor and walked to Camilia and my room. When I got there I opened the bottom shelf and screamed again. I held up a pink cloth covered in blood.
