How do you make your side part lift up/flip?

How do you make your side part lift up/flip?

Look at the picture. Notice how the girl below has a flat side bang while the girl on top has one that curls over at part (where you part your hair). I've noticed lots of ppl have that but I can't seem to get mine to do it. Plz help!

EDIT: after 3 months of research, I discovered it's actually called a side part

I can do this with short hair, and what I do is I take a hairbrush and grab the hair (with the brush) at the roots, and pull upwards. It will lay back down and you might have to put some gel at the bottom. I have short hair though.

You take a brush and pull back your bangs flicking your wrist so it flips then hairspray... it's really hard to explain without showing you. Look up videos.
