Star Wars Unexpected Lovers: Maul and Kiara

Wait....Who are you?

Kiara woke up from a deep sleep. She groaned as her alarm clock blared, using her hand, she hit the top twice to shut it off. "Why do I have to go to work today?" she thought to herself. Getting herself off the bed, she groggily walked towards the refresher in her apartment. Turning the handle, the water from the shower head sprung to life. Before hopping into the shower, she stripped off her clothes from the previous night, and headed into the shower. Kiara felt the warm water hit her body and that helped wake her up somewhat. After cleansing her body of sweat and grime, she turned the handle the opposite direction which turned the water off. She took the towel she has hanging in a rack and dried herself off. It was chilly after getting out of the shower, so she put on her robe, and headed to her bedroom to get her uniform.         

        Some minutes later after getting dressed she quickly ate a ration bar, locking her apartment door, and headed down towards the apartment lobby. Kiara walked down the streets of Coruscant, only to notice that the way she intended to go was blocked off due to droids making repairs. She sighed and headed down an alley that she knew would lead her to work in enough time. But something seemed off as she was walking slowly through the alley. A cloaked figure was talking to a couple of men, who looked like to be thugs from the lower levels. Then what she saw shocked her, a red light shined from something in the figure's hand, which made a humming sound as well. The figure sliced the two other men across the chest, and they fell instantly. A huge pool of blood was left on the ground as the cloak figure put away his glowing object, and clicked it to a utility belt around his waist.

        Whoever the figure was turned towards Kiara. She was utterly terrified, almost about to scream. But the figure used, what seemed to be the Force, to lift her up. Kiara went flying towards him. The figure used one hand to cover her mouth and the other to roughly pushed her against the wall. She would not say anything or move due to the utter fear that she would be the next one slaughtered. As she suspected, the figure took out the weapon he used to slice both men, which she now saw that it was a double-bladed light saber, and held it up to her neck. "I could kill you right now," the figure finally spoke in a menacing voice. Kiara had her eyes shut ready for the pain, but it never came.

         She opened one eye to see him still holding her in the same position, and he began to say, "You will tell no one what you saw! Because if you do.." The figure raised his lightsaber and gave her a sickening smirk, "I will hunt you down, and make sure you feel excruciating pain...Do I make myself clear?" She hastily nodes, and then he drops her. Kiara finally got to see his features, and they seemed oddly familiar. Red skin, orange eyes, a crown of horns on his head, and a evil look to his face. She gets up and reaches up to touch the horns that were adorned on his head, but he quickly grabs her hands, and roughly throws them to her side. "You look familiar....I mean I've never seen you before...but someone I know talked of the same features you have," She says quietly, but enough for him to hear her. The figure glared at her and said, " I don't care what other fools have said about me. You don't know me at all. And, it is best for you not to."

         Kiara looked up at him with sympathy, and before she could halt herself from her actions...She hugged the hooded figure. The man tensed up, not able to move. "The one thing I do know is that you need someone in your life to make you happy. It sounds like you have lost a lot," she said. The figure scowled and lifted her up in a Force choke. Kiara clawed at the invisible force tightening her airways. "Don't you dare touch me! You know nothing of me! You're nothing but a fool, and a weakling! Just like the rest of this retched waste of a galaxy!" He shouted in her face. She kept quiet. The man finally dropped her and Kiara breathed heavily. He started to walk away. "W-wait!" She said breathless. The figure turned once more. "What is your name?" Kiara asked gaining her breath once more. The man scowled and continued to walk away. She held her face down low. She got up and started to walk away when she finally heard a soft voice from the figure, "Maul...My name is Maul." Kiara quietly raised her eyebrows as if recognizing the name as she continued to walk to work. "Maul...where have I heard that name before?" Kiara said out loud.
