Movie Characters that are f*cking stupid

Why the hell are movie characters so touchy about moving?! You get to live your ENTIRE life in one place, you can still keep in contact with them! Generally, the whiny movie character who moved, didn't even move that far away and could visit their friends for the weekend whenever they want. HOWEVER, expats don't have that choice because we move ACROSS COUNTRIES. And then you see people like Riley from Inside Out, acting out just because she moved somewhere slightly different than where she was before. AT LEAST YOU DON'T HAVE TO ADAPT TO DIFFERENT HABITATS, YA IDIOT. Seriously, every time expats move somewhere, they have to emerge themselves in the different culture, learn the language, the habitats, the driving laws, the people, everything!

Generally, these stupid movie characters move across AMERICA. AMERICA IS BASICALLY THE SAME EVERYWHERE WITH A FEW DIFFERENCES. Same language, same culture, same general habitats, same media, same genearl culture. But do us expats get that? Nooooooooo. We get to go from Ghana to Thailand. Do you know how different those two cultures are?! Ghana is a very friendly, communnity oriented, non-body shaming place. THAILAND HOWEVER IS HOME OF THE FREAKING GOLD DIGGER. They are only ever nice to you when they want something, I'm not being racist okay. I lived there for four years, THAT IS A FACT. Or characters like that chick from Aquamarine. She was making the biggest deal about a simple move which most expats would take as a blessing. YOU'RE BASICALLY IN THE SAME COUNTRY, YOU CAN LITERALLY GO THERE FOR SUMMER WHENEVER YOU WANT. Dumb*ss.
