Noel's eyes flutter open. He sits up and looks around his small apartment. "Tomorrow is the tournament." He says. He looks at a poster that reads gladiator tournament. "It's win or die." He says. He walks over to his dresser and opens the first drawer exposing all of his pants. He picks up a pair off the top of the pile. He unfolds them and slips into them, "win or die" He echoes. He sits down on his bed again and looks at his night stand with a picture of his mother in a wheelchair framed on the top. "Don't worry mom I'm coming for you, you'll be ok." He said. He gets up again and walks over to his closet and pulls out a tank top and pulls it over his head. He turns around and leaves his apartment. He gets in the elevator and hits the lobby button. About half way down the elevator stops and someone gets in. A man dressed in a gladiator outfit walks in. You excited for the tournament?" He asked. Noel shrugged his shoulders and slightly nodded. "I guess." he says. The man lets out a whoop. "This year Tamarack is going down I can feel it." He says. Noel looks down at the ground and remembers last year's tournament when Tamarack ripped out his foes heart and ate it in the middle of the ring.

Noel goes on his daily routine he went to the gym then to the store to get food for tonight's dinner. He walks down the aisle and grabs a box of macaroni. He looks down at the box. "Let's hope this isn't my last meal." He mumbles. He walks back home with a bag of groceries. he reaches his building and walks in the front door. He looks up and sees a huge banner that says good luck. He walks past the front desk and the manager calls out "good luck in the tournament tomorrow.". Noel looks back and gives him a fake smile. He pushes the button to call the elevator. He waits for a few minutes until the doors open and he steps inside and pushes the button to go to the nineteenth floor. After a few moments the doors close and the elevator makes it's slow ascension to the nineteenth floor. It was a quiet and peaceful ride Noel was able to clear his mind. To get in the right mind set for tomorrow.  He gets to his room and starts to work on his dinner. After dinner He undresses and goes to bed and awaits the mornings dew to wake him up on the morrow.
