Chapter 3.

Home Sweet Home

When I woke up my mom was calling me for dinner. “Honey! Come on its dinner time!” When I got out of my dreamy daze I brushed my hair until it was soft like fur, then I ran down stairs (still in my dress) and I immediately smelled warm beef and carrot stew with wild rice on the side with fruit salad. I started to drool a little when I saw the yummy chocolate brownies we were going to eat for desert. My mom walked over and kissed Tim and put two brownies on his plate, Tim smiled really big when she put those brownies on his plate. I started to take a plate and fill it with yummy fruit salad and wild rice, then I took a bowl and poured some beef and carrot stew put it on my plate, took a brownie for desert and sat down next to my mom, then I started to eat. When I was in the middle of my stew and wild rice, my mom started to smile really big and then blushed and looked at Tim, than she told me…

“We have an announcement to make!” “We are having a baby girl!” “Well we thought about it and you’re an only child so we thought you would want a baby sibling!” I was speechless. “Wow mom, Tim, that’s awesome!” “What’s her name?” “Well, we think it’s going to be Daisy.” I thought, Daisy? That’s such a beautiful name… “Wow well congratulations.” I finished my dinner quickly after that announcement and ran to my room. I thought I was always going to be an only child forever. I mean, what if I have to share a room with her and she messes up all of my makeup and plays with my tank tops?! Well I guess I will be fine but I just don’t know what will happen when Daisy comes… I started to untie the bow on my dress and took it off, threw it in the laundry and flopped on my bed. Then I decided to put on clothes before anyone came in without knocking. I took out my pink heart pajamas out of my armor and slipped them on, I still did not button my top up and I did not tie the laces on my pink heart shorts because I was hot. Then I just fell asleep…

When it woke up somebody was shaking me awake when I realized I was half undressed my eyes snapped open and I pulled the two sides of my pajama shirt and pulled them together. Thank goodness it was my mom and not Tim. “Emma breakfast is ready.” I groaned and then flopped out of my bed, on to the floor and crawled down stairs to the kitchen. I opened my eyes a little more and realized I was right in front of Tim blocking his way on the ground! How embarrassing! I would have sworn my face turned red. “Oh sorry Tim, I was… um… never mind.” I stood up and saw that he was smiling at me; his smile reminded me of my moms, big bright and white teethed. “Hey no problem, just working out huh?” He said as I smiled back. For breakfast I had two chocolate chip pancakes, leftover fruit salad and a cup of orange juice. It was such a good breakfast I didn’t even tell I only buttoned up ¾ of my shirt and you could see my bra sticking out, it was neon I when I realized it I slouched under the table and quickly buttoned it up. “Oh yeah I forgot to tell you that the due date is on December 20th.” My mom exclaimed proudly. Today it was February 20th! That meant we only had exactly 9 months! “Wow that is so cool!” As I finished my breakfast aka 2 more bites of my delicious chocolate pancake, I spilled the rest of my cup of orange juice on my pink heart pajamas. I sighed and then groaned, I tried to use a napkin which was a horrible idea so I ran all the way up to my room to go change out of my clothes.
