Chapter 2
1 week later"We're having a welcome to our town party for Ella", Abbie had told me three days ago.
We still had a month left of summer vacation and Abbie wanted Ella to feel included by the time school started. She didn't want her to feel like an outsider. The party was tonight. I was dressed up in my white dress covered in flowers and I put my red hair in a high pony tail.
"Hey mom it's time to drive me to Abbie's", I said.
"Okay. Hope in the car. I'll be out in a second".
I plopped down into the front seat of my moms jeep. We drove about five minutes and then we pulled into the drive way of Abbie's fimiiar house. As soon as I got out of the car I felt Abbie's hugging me. She pulled away.
"This is Ella. Ella this is my best friend Tess the one I told you about", Abbie said.
"Hi", I said.
"Hi", she responded.
My mom kissed the too of my head, "bye honey".
"Bye mom".
And with that she left. I studied Ella she looked kind of similar to Abbie but at the same time very different. She had darker hair like Abbie said. Her nose was pretty different. She was the cutest girl I'd ever seen. We would definitely become best friends this year. Maybe more...I wanted more...As if telling me that my thoughts were wrong Jonah popped up behind me.
"I've been looking all over for you", he said.
He was smiling. I always loved that whenever he smiled he had these cute dimples. I quickly got bored of Jonah and looked and Ella some more.
"Is that that new girl were throwing the party for", he asked whispering in my ear?
"Yep that's her", I said trying really hard not to blush.
Why did I feel this way it was so weird. I never felt this way. I'm Tess and I'm straight.
