I take a short break, get something to eat and drink, relax for a bit, take a quick nap, hang out with friends you know. Between a half hour to a day later I'm working on it again

When i have trouble thinking of storie scenarios to write, i start by reading other books similar to something i might write. Then i think about the details that i want to put in the book. After i do that, i just write whatever i need too to start my chapter, just to get in the way of the writers block! Hope this helps :}

Two methods:

1. Just write. Ik it’s hard and it doesn’t feel good and it may be the worst thing you’ve ever written in your life, but it’s something. Write maybe 500 words of your next bit and it’s likely inspiration will hit, or you can re read it and keep the parts you like and use it as a platform to write the next part.

2. If it’s lack of inspiration, pause the scene your writing and go-re read/watch/experience what inspired you to write this piece in the first place. Re-read See More▼

This is for me when i do oc backstories but it still works at least for me, i look back on my story and think for a minute then i see how this would affect the plot or whatever then i write and if it doesn’t fit I repeat the process
(I sound like an English teacher lol)
