Who else ignores people while they're reading?

I can listen to people, but I can't reply.

I do! My mom told me a whole important story of what happened to her and I looked up from my book like were you talking to me?

I always do, and if I answer, I answer in mumbles and murmurs.

Yea, when im reading i get so caught up in the book i ignore those talking to me and normally dont hear what they are saying though sometimes i make small answers. e,g yes or no..Just the other day I was reprimanded for it.

Me. I even tuned out enough one point in elementary school that I literally did not hear the whistle to go back inside.

I always hide in some forgotten place where no one can disturb me.
