Be nice kind and just spend time with them. I talked to my grandma and she began to open up. When I talked a lot she didn't hold anyone else's hand but mine only. That made me happy actually.

Talk about the old times when she was younger. Do everything that she tells you and she'll be happy. Trust me.

@MysticalScribbles, just be yourself. If she doesn't like who you are, I guess it is her fault! Try spending time with her. If she likes baking and cooking, why don't you ask her to teach you, or to bake or cook with you sometime...:D:)
