Why are people against the confederate flag?

The creator of the confederate flag W.T. Thompson said: "As a national emblem, it is significant of our higher cause, the cause of a superior race, and a higher civilization contending against ignorance, infidelity, and barbarism."

This flag was created by, and to represent, people who believed that black people were inhuman and inherently BELOW them. The confederate flag is racist as hell and has no place in society today. See More▼ The only 'culture' it is a part of is white supremacy.

Its the "White Man" flag. Lots of Southerners use it mostly to be ignorant and racist.

Because it's a symbol of hate.

Because it's a symbol of racist culture.

Because people use it as a sign of racism and an excuse to be racist.

A symbol of slavery. Slavery makes you lazy

The flag is used to represent racist people. Therefore if it's part of your "culture" then i hope you know ur being racist : D
