Our school will let us wear inflatable Dinosaur costumes, but no one can wear all black (like jacket, shirt, shoes, shoelaces, leggings, skirt, pants, gloves, dark sunglasses/emo make up, and socks at once.) They never tell us why and a lot of people guess "racism" but I think the rule exists for these reasons;

The people in our neighborhood are afraid of our school already-- we don't need to look like we're about to whip out a gun

I hate it how we can't wear leggings or yoga pants because they're too "tight." Also, it doesn't make sense how we can't wear flip flops because the school I go to doesn't have any stairs to trip on and we don't have recess.
