Sharks. Snake bites are insanely painful; at least sharks would eat you quickly.

Um, it doesn't matter how fast you are when you're literally standing on top of and surrounded by a bunch of snakes whose habitats you've just invaded.

OK, but no splashing. Splashing attracts sharks and alerts them to nearby prey.
