FallingI walked upstairs to give my mom her breakfast. After she disappeared and dad died, I've had to take care of her. It's kinda stupid, but oh well. I knocked and opened her door. She was lying there but she had paper and pencil.
"What are you drawing mom?" I asked as I walked closer, setting her breakfast on the bedside table. I looked at the paper and saw a rabbit. It was a rabbit with a stopwatch and clothes. She was adding someone else too.
"It's your turn. It's your turn Allison. You go to Wonderland. You see all the happy flowers and hopping rabbits!" She started getting up but I made her lay back down. I took the paper from her and told her that she needs to go back to bed.
"Either go to sleep or eat your breakfast!" I said. The roles around here had reversed. Instead of her being the mom, I am.
"Okay. Okay. Oh I got you something Allison!" She said gesturing to the closet. "The blue one." She shoved me gently towards the closet. I opened it, and there was a baby blue dress. It was kind of old fashioned. It had a white apron and it was slightly poofy. I don't really know how to explain it. She told me to try it on. I took it to the bathroom and put it on. It was surprisingly comfortable. Maybe it wasn't that bad of a birthday present.
"Does it look good?" I asked. She smiled more and nodded. She told me to go outside and that she would be fine.
I walked outside and decided to go to the grocery store. It was the year 1836 and I saw all the signs for the circus. There was a man in a top hat pouring tea, a rabbit with a stopwatch, a grinning cat, and a lady wearing a crown. I walked on. The roads and pavement were packed so I foolishly decided to take an alley way. As I walked I heard footsteps behind me. I spun around to see a man. It was strange he had on a mask that had hearts all over it. As he came closer I turned around and ran. I stopped when I saw another man with the same mask on in front of me. But I stopped right in front of a large pothole. The man behind me pushed me and I started falling. But I grabbed the sides. I felt as someone stepped on my fingers, forcing me to let go. I screamed. I looked up, my arms trying to grab something but all there was was air. As I looked up I saw the men sliding a large cover over the pothole. That's when it went black.
