Chapter One (Bianca's POV)She couldn't help staring. Nobody could. Half term was just over, and Kimbly, the girl with the flawless cocoa skin had a slight tan from her holiday in Hawaii, to see her cousins.
Bianca wasn't jealous. She thought Kimbly looked beautiful, and that's why she drew her. Every single detail. Her barely visible freckles, her wide, brown eyes. Her long, black curls that she'd carefully plaited.
Bianca wanted to answer, but was preoccupied with drawing, her eyes still unable to stay away from Kimbly's smile.
"Um, Bianca? Earth to Bianca? Hellooooo?"
Bianca snapped to attention. "Huh?"
Sofia rolled her green eyes and leaned back in her chair.
"Whatever. It's not important if you're busy desperately clinging onto Daddy's Girl like every other brain-dead sucker in this school." Sofia's harsh words made Bianca flinch.
Bianca snorted, trying to give an "as if" air to it. "God, Sofia, you should really expect better of me. I'm just waiting for some boring drama to happen."
Sofia's coldness melted away and she began talking again. Bianca glanced in Kimbly's direction. She was giggling at something and playing with a curl. Bianca thought of her own unnoticeable grey eyes, her sensible black glasses, her shoulder-length, wavy ginger hair. She looked fairly pretty, but that was nothing compared to Kimbly.
She turned away. As if.
