What to happened Peter Pettigrew at the end of the Harry Potter Movies?

I know what happens to him in the books and Ive seen the movies i just forget what happens... (spoiler alert) in the book he is strangled to death by his silver hand gifted to him by Voldemort during the skirmish at Malfoy Manor. In the movies i don't remember him dying in any specific way. Is he killed by Dobby when he frees Harry and the others from the cellar? Is he killed by Voldemort for letting them escape? Does he simply slip away like the rat he is never to be seen again? whatever the cause he doesn't show up for Deathly Hallows part II. Does anyone know what really happened to him?

I think what happened was that he was going down to the celler at Malfoy Manor but someone had a wand and attacked him (Dobby, if I remember correcty) and he fell over, saying "Ow," and was never seen again. At least, I don't remember seeing him after that.

so do you think dobby killed him? because thats what i remembered too. I dont think whatever spell Dobby used was meant to kill him, but it just seems strange that his fate isnt explained.

Well, each movie WAS about two hours long, and he wasn't the most important character or at all loved, so I can understand why they wouldn't put much into it. But yeah, they should've at least had someone else make a comment about him being dead or something.

It makes me sad... sure Peter Pettigrew was a slimmy little worm, but he is part of the story and the writers for the movie should have just let his character hang like that. it seems lazy of them, they had two whole movies to explain the Deathly Hallows book its not like they were super pressed for time.

Yeah. I guess most fans just don't really think about it too much, as he didn't have much screentime, so maybe the makers of the movie decided "Hey, they don't care about this guy, so let's just kick him down the stairs. The ones who read the book know what happens so it'll be good."
