my friends are like my prized possessions. TRUE friends are few and far between. if you come across a TRUE friend, do not let them get away. friends are forever (not literally)! :D

Due to the fact that you included "tired of their gossip" I'll think about normal friends, not real or really good ones.
Yes, I do think it is imptortant to have them but you should always be careful. I'd be tired of that.
