How do you get inspiration for a story???

Dreams, try keeping a dream journal, you may get ideas
Songs, listen to lots of songs, the tune or lyrics may inspire you
Anime, each anime has a very unique story, plot and lots of emotion!
Drama shows or movies, the more emotion, the better inspiration
Your own story or someone else's, real life examples are inspiring too

Well, I like to read or listen to lyrics and immediately an idea pops in my head. Pictures or other stories trigger some. But really, when ever a scene or little conversation pops in my head I immediately write it down until an inspiration comes to me. I write fanfictions (A LOT OF FANFICTIONS) so those ideas help.

I usually write Fan Fics so if you have a book or movie you LOVE, then write about what happens after, or before! Or the story from another character's veiw!

Well, I mostly get my ideas from songs (Like one Last First Kiss, I got an idea to make a girl have cancer and one direction visits her and stuff happens and The Fault in the stars by Troye Sivan, the patients had cancer) other stories (I read a lot so...) or I just come up with the ideas (like today I had another idea where a girl can predict the future and Simon Cowell gets worried about 1d reputation so sends them to know their future but she starts falling for them...)

I just start thinking of possible scenarios. Or start with a very basic plot. Like, "there is this girl who falls in love witha guy". Boom! Basic plot. Then, I start adding more twists and details. Then before you know it, I have a huge story planned! Hope this helped!
