I'd say just treat people the way they'd feel more comfortable being treated.

Yes. Technically, if you say yes you are a feminist. Feminist means you believe women should have the same rights as men.

Being a feminist means you want equality.
Check out the definition instead of how girls on tumblr act.

Doesn't matter what the definition is. What matters is their actions and how dumb the feminists are. We have equality so they can shut their dirty mouths.

In some cases (e.g. people not believing men can be assaulted), but in many others, women still lack certain rights. What I was trying to convey in my last comment was that all genders should be equal, which includes men getting rights that women have. I don't want to argue, I was just sharing my opinion in a less than ideal way. Could we end this discussion See More▼

Okay women already have MORE rights than men.

No, not at all. But it can happen even when they're doing more work, primarily because of how women are viewed. Don't get the wrong idea, I strongly believe in equality- I don't think women are better than men. I just think that, as far as we've come, there's still more that needs to be done to achieve thorough equality.

That was just an example. Do you think a women who does less work should be paid the same as a man who does more? It can also be switched but that's just the thing. And women doing more work and getting paid less never happens.

Sometimes, the woman does more work and is underpaid. A man won't always do more work than a woman (or vice versa.)

Here's how it goes.

A guy works as a store clerk: He assists 452 people that week and gets paid extra for his hard work.

A women works as a store clerk: She assists 204 people that week and gets paid the normal pay

The women: Not fair! Why did he get payed more than me!

Boss: He did more work See More▼

Actually, I've done a lot of research, and what they said applies a lot of the time. I'm not saying it always does, but you can't argue that women *always* get paid more than or an equal amount as men.

@Tailsthefoxslover, calm down. They weren't speaking for everyone, but in a lot of situations, what they said is true. You don't have to be so angry.

Excuse me? Look, I just said that being a feminist meant you wanted men, women, and genderqueer people to be treated equally- essentially, being a feminist just means disliking sexism. If you don't want equality, to each their own, I suppose. But don't go stating, "feminists are dumb and should shut their dirty mouths" as a fact. It's an opinion.

yes! or that boys should be treated the same as girls. But it also depends on how they act, for example: In gym yesterday, the boys were mostly only passsing to boys in basketball. The girls complained, although most of them had been gossiping and the boys had said that they would have passed to them if they were open. To prove their point the teacher made us See More▼

In this case, everyone should be treated how they act, but the girls didn't seem to choose that and blame it on the boy's sexism instead of their none sportive action. If the girls are the ones gossiping then they are the ones gossiping. If half the girls are gossiping and half the boys, then they are the ones that are gossiping. It mostly matters on the context.
