To the average person, it is either or...to the logicist, it is as others said, pouring the cup, half empty, filling the cup, half full, but to he engineer...that cup is twice as big as it needs to be...and to the artist...it's perfect.

If you are pouring water in the glass and stop halfway it is half full. If you are drinking a full glass of water and leave half of it left then it is half empty.

That actually makes alot of sense,
But what if you just walked into the room and saw the glass just sitting there?
You could assume either way but would never really know.
(No idea where I was going with this.)

If you just saw the glass sitting there than it is just a stale glass of water that you should probably dump out because stale water is so gross though
