What I love about my life in Mobius is that feeling when you don't have a care in the world. The feeling of freedom. Just me and Sonic.
The wind's blowing strong this afternoon too. That makes it better!
After a while of running, we stop to take a breath, and our eyes meet.
"That," I say, "was awesome!"
"You should try it when the wind's stronger," Sonic says, his voice warm and soothing.
"Sonic! Jackie! Come quick!" Knuckles is shouting in the distance, running up to us.
"What's up Knux?" Sonic asks.
"No time for explaining. You have to come now!"
I shrug my shoulders at Sonic, and he just shrugs back, before we take off after Knuckles.

When we arrive at Angel Island, we see that the Master Emerald is unexplainably out of control.
"It's been this way since this morning," Knuckles says.
"What do we do?" Sonic asks.
"I don't know," Knuckles replies. "For once, I can't control it."
I want to run up closer to it, but Sonic grabs my arm and holds me back. He leans towards me and whispers "I don't want to lose you." I blush.
The three of us look at the Master Emerald, and it starts to glow like crazy.
"DUCK!" Knuckles shouts, but it's too late.
Seems it activated Chaos Control.
Oh. Crap.

When the bright light fades, we no longer stand in front of the Master Emerald.
"Where are we?" Sonic asks.
I look around. "I don't know. I can't see anything."
Then we hear a voice. "You're a little different, aren't you?"
"Who's there?" I shout. "Show yourself!"
And the figure does. "Who are you?" she says.
"I'm Jackie," I start. "Jackie the Hedgehog. And this is Sonic, and Knuckles."
"So who are you?" Sonic asks.
"I'm Kate. Kate Tasty," the figure says. "Trust me, it'll be light soon."
As Kate walks off, we look at each other with blank expressions.
The same thought is on our minds.
We have to get home.
