Sword Art Online
Chapter 2.
First floor

First floor

I'm now level 35 and it's been two days in SAO, and I realize I didn't defeat the first floor. There's a meeting held where dozens of people discuss battle plans on how to take on the first floor. It looks like everyone has a partner but me, it's probably because I decided to train extra and I ended up coming here late. I look around and I see someone who doesn't have a partner, and looks like he would be good to partner with. I run over to him and ask "Hello, my name is Syria, do you want to be my partner?" In response he says "Sure. My name is Arsu."
After he tells me his name we go over battle plans for about another ten minutes, and then a guy comes up and starts talking bad stuff about beta testers, which I want to tell him how wrong he is but I don't, it will only take away to what we need to focus on. Before we leave I ask him question. "What do you have as a weapon?"
"What do you have as a weapon?"
"I have throwing knives I made my self."
"I have this sword." I say showing him the sword I got in the Town of Beggings.

We start to walk to the first floor, and were about to go against the first boss. I look up at the boss, he's huge and now that I know I can die in real life I'm a little frightened, but not to the point where I won't fight. Everyone starts to charge at him, including me and Arsu, I see a lot of people get hurt but a lot people are landing attacks also. Arsu starts throwing his knives and I hold out my sword, ready to swing it. I hit him at least five times. I'm taking huge breaths, but I keep fighting, and I don't stop. As I'm about to hit the boss again I see someone go up and hit him before me, and he's landing critical hits! I can't stop fighting, so I run up to hit the boss again. This time I don't land a hit and I get knocked back and, so does the guy who was landing critical hits. Then I stand up next to Arsu who asks me am I okay, but all I have time to do is nod my head. Me and Arsu start to charge at him once more, Arsu is throwing his knives and I'm readying my sword to hit the boss, but the guy who was landing the critical hits was right next to me. This was going to be the last hit it was either me or him was going to get it. I swing my sword as hard as I can and I realize I'm currently landing a critical hit. The monster explodes, and I fall to the floor, I look at my health and I realize it only dropped a bit, not to much.

I look at the guy who was helping me with the last strike, it turns out he got the last hit because he's faced with a sign that says congratulations. I actually beat the first floor, ninety nine more to go. When I'm walking over to Arsu I realize who the guy with the critical hits was, it was Kirito, one of the best players in the beta test! Then Kirito makes an announcement about how he was a beater, I stare at him and wonder how is he going to beat all the other floors? After that I put Arsu on my friends list. "I'll see you later, Arsu." I say. Then I wave a good-bye to him. After that I realized a barely gained any levels from that fight because Kirito got the last hit. I get a bit mad, but not completely, I'll be a solo player for a while so I can get the last  hits, I'll only be a solo player to the twenty fifth floor though.
