Chapter 1.

Chapter 1

You woke up in a strange, dark forest, with nothing but your lack of memory and a throbbing headache.

Sitting up and placing a hand to your head, you glance down at yourself and inspect your body for any injuries. Upon observation, you notice that your body is completely covered in scars, some freshly opened and still bleeding, others old and sealed up.

Your wrists are mostly covered in these tiny cuts.

You also see that you are adorned by a simple, tattered, snow white dress and a veil, and white heels to match.

Removing your hand from your head, you see blood smeared on it, confirming there was a big gash on your forehead and that's what was causing your headache. Standing up, your dress falls into place, which is (length) in size. You (color) hair was in a messy bun, which you decide to undo, letting it fall to its original length.

A little disturbed by the condition of your body, you glance at your surroundings, seeing that all the trees looked the same. You start to panic until you hear a strange tune drift through the air.

Boys and Girls of every age,
Wouldn't you like to see something strange?

You turn in the direction of the music and walk towards it. A little voice in the back of your head told you to run away, but your curiosity got the better of you.

Come with us and you will see,
This, our town of Halloween.
This is Halloween, this is Halloween,
Pumpkins scream in the dead of night!

Reaching the edge of the forest, you see, out in the distance, a small town. Upon closer inspection, you discover its the source of the music. Despite its intimidating and creepy aura, you continued to walk towards the town, curious to see what was happening.

This is Halloween, everybody make a scene!
Trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright!
Its our town, everybody scream!
In this town of Halloween.

You reach the gate and peek through the bars. Once you turned your head to get a good angle, you were shocked to find that the town did not contain normal citizens, but instead monsters!

Though now that you think about it, the creepy atmosphere, dark forest, and the constant inky black sky should've gave it away...

I am the one hiding under your bed,
Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red!
I am the one hiding under your stairs,
Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair!
This is Halloween, this is Halloween,
Halloween, Halloween, Halloween, Halloween!

Removing yourself from the gate, you look around and notice a few crevices in the walls that could allow you to climb it. Taking the opportunity, you place your hands on the wall and begin to climb. Once reaching the top, you move yourself into a more comfortable position. From here, you could see everything, and you were not so easy to notice either, so win-win!

In this town, we call home, everyone hail to the pumpkin song!
In this town! Dont we love it now?
Everyone's waiting for the next surprise!
Round that corner man, hiding in a trash can,
Somethings waiting how to pounce, and how you,
SCREAM!

You gasp at the sudden outburst and almost fall over, but you managed to hold on to the wall and remain sitting.

Man, were these people good at their job.

This is Halloween, red and black,
And slimy green!
Aren't you scared?
Well that's just fine!

You gasp at the sight of two witches flying out into the night sky, and a wide grin stretched on your lips.

Say it once, say it twice, take a chance and roll the dice!
Ride with the moon in the dead of night!
Everybody scream, EVERYBODY SCREAM!
In our town of Halloween!
I am the clown with the tearaway face!
Here in a flash and gone without a trace!
I am the who when you call 'who's there?'
I am the wind blowing through your hair.

I am the shadow on the moon at night,
Filling your dreams to the brim with fright...

That voice sent shivers down your spine, but... it felt... familiar for some reason...

This is Halloween, this is Halloween,
Halloween, Halloween, Halloween, Halloween!
Tinder lumplings everywhere! Life's no fun without a good scare!
Thats our job, but we're not mean, in outer town of Halloween!
In this town, dont we love it now?
Everyones waiting for the next surprise!
Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back and then, scream like a banshee make you jump right out of your skin!

Jack, why did that name sound so familiar? It made your heart thump loudly, made butterflies flap in your belly, and made your head spin with passion... but you didnt know why.

Why did even the mention of this name make you feel this way?

This is Halloween, everybody scream!
Will you please make way for a very special guy?
Our man Jack is king of the pumpkin patch, everyone hail to the Pumpkin King now!
This is Halloween, this is Halloween,
Halloween, Halloween, Halloween, Halloween.
In this town, we call home, everyone hail to the Pumpkin Song.

As everyone chanted, a skeletal figure rose from the central fountain, dramatic pose and all, as everyone cheered for him and chanted Halloween.

After seeing this man, something inside you went berserk and you couldn't help but flush and try to figure out why he was so familiar. And when he opened his eyes, one thing was certain in the middle of all the confusion

He was looking right at you.
