Kitten?
"Ugh, why do I have to clean the stables! Why can't f**king Jean do it. So he can see his kin!"Eren said grabbing a shovel. "This is stupid," he complained opening the stable door "why do I always have to do the work."
Levi had been searching for Eren for hours. He needed someone to clean his office, the top shelves were wayyy too high for him to reach. Of course Eren had decided to disappear right when Levi needed him. He finally decided to check the stables...and came upon an angry Eren, muttering to himself as he mucked out the stalls.
Suddenly, Eren heard a noise. "What the..." he dropped the shovel and looked around. "Who is there?" Eren heard the noise again, slightly louder. "Come out, come out , wherever you are."
Levi stepped out from the shadows, arms crossed and expression dull. "Eren. I need someone to clean my office. And...get that filth off of you first."
"Ahh!" Eren yelled. "Saint mother Teresa! You startled me!"
Levi paused, raising an eyebrow in confusion, but staying quiet.
Eren tip toed all the way across the stables, near a pile of hay. He reached to pick up a bit of it and, heard a sound that almost made him cry.
"Meeeow...meow..."
"Is...is that a cat?" Levi asked, tone dark and eyes menacing. He hated cats...they made too many messes for him to clean up.
"Oh. My. God!" Eren picked the black kitten up and held it on his arms. "Heichou, can we keep it! Please!" Eren begged
"Cats are disgusting and they make way too many messes...of course we're not keeping it."
At that moment, Eren's heart broke. "But--we can't just leave him here! He'll die! Please, I'll do anything! Just, can we keep him!"
Tears filled in Eren's eyes. He had always wanted a pet.
Levi sighed. He'd always had trouble saying no to Eren, despite himself. "Fine. IF you clean my office. And clean the stables for the next three months."
