Witch Trial

Smoke purged her soul
Cleansing her of her daemons
It cackled and cracked
As it licked her toes
And sniffed her ankles

The immaculate wings of angels
Flit around her defiled aura
With black swords the angels burned
Extravagant patterns on her breast
Trying her and condemning her

The people of religion stood by
And cheered as the angels rose
Tormenting and torturing the witch
Retribution was needed
Now it had been dealt

Ashes and screams lingered
The ashes soon gone whisked away.
Zephyrs caressed the screams
As the next pure woman
Was lead to the apex of the wood.
