That girl-- Amanda, I think-- would be sorry. Violet couldn't tolerate girls like that, and I was her lifelong best friend, ever since the fifth grade, four years ago. She'd defend me... I can't depend on her, I thought, suddenly angry. I have to do this mostly by myself. I have to learn to stand up.

As I ran to my history class, I heard the bell ring. Shoot! I entered the room and my teacher was standing there, frowning. "You're late 3 times in a row! You get detention!" Everyone just stared at me while I just bowed my head to the ground in shame. What I also saw is that girl glaring at me evily.

All I saw was hate in her eyes so I asked her what was up? Instead of answering she just spat on my face. I wondered what was wrong until she showed me a picture of my boyfriend and me. She growled at me. I asked her what was wrong, he's my boyfriend and then she just slapped me and told me that they were dating and that's when I learned the truth. He was cheating.
